The Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program is reorganising and enhancing NSW Ambulance infrastructure to meet the future needs of communities across rural and regional NSW. The RAIR program encompasses the design of a number of stations across NSW that will provide modern facilities with each site tailored to the needs of the local community and paramedics.
Depending on site specific requirements, stations vary from large stations incorporating large administrative, education and fleet maintenance centres with high numbers of vehicles, to smaller buildings that incorporate the station and two or three vehicles.
The design of the stations has required a detailed and sensitive understanding of NSW Ambulance’s operational procedures and collaboration with a variety of specialist consultants.
