Advanx
Rushcutters Bay

Year: 2007 - 2015

Location: Rushcutters Bay, NSW

In association with Lacoste + Stevenson

The Advanx site is a major city block redevelopment from industrial to mixed use residential. The project takes its name from the century old Advanx tyre factory. Developed over three stages, there are over 250 apartments, shops and restaurants. The accommodation ranges from compact studios to large penthouse dwellings with good district park views.

There is ample rooftop and communal open space with landscape and community gardens.

The project features sculptures by Korban Flaubert including the signature vertical garden “Footsteps” fronting Craigend Street that conceals the above ground carpark while permitting ventilation and natural light.

The retained heritage Advanx hall has been given new life as a restaurant.
